About The Position

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineering student to work as a Power Delivery Engineering Intern in its Atlanta, Georgia office. The intern will collaborate with senior engineers and other interns on real-world challenges for utility grid customers, building knowledge and skills in power delivery engineering.

The role is part of Power Delivery Solutions, a group of electric utility engineering consultants working on transmission, substation, and distribution engineering projects for utility clients nationwide. The intern will assist with project work packages, deliverables, and process improvements while providing technical and project support for high-voltage transmission line and low-voltage distribution projects. The position offers exposure to utility clients, multiple engineering disciplines, and power delivery practices.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering at an accredited university.
• Current GPA of 2.6 or higher.
• Ability to work in both field and office settings.
• Interest in developing skills in the preparation of engineering project work packages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing work packages for transmission, distribution, or substation engineering projects.
• Assist in preparing project deliverables, including engineered drawings, technical reports, project-related correspondence, and other project documentation.
• Assist the team in developing processes and procedures to improve project execution efficiency.
• Provide technical and project support for high-voltage transmission line and low-voltage distribution projects in a team environment.
