About The Position

Under direct supervision, assist in the manufacturing of MOV Blocks used in the assembly of high voltage surge arrestors. This role involves operating and troubleshooting multiple presses, precisely weighing and loading raw materials into mills, and performing milling, mixing, screening, and spray drying operations. The position requires measurement of in-process properties and decision making based on results, meeting and/or exceeding daily production goals, and precisely unloading pressed blocks from the press onto metal pallets. The employee must follow all safety rules and lock out tag out regulations, comprehend work orders, specification books, and written/verbal instructions. Periodic quality checks for blocks (height, diameter, and visual inspections) are required, as well as participation in the 5S program and routine housekeeping. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Perform basic tasks on a PC or tablet
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Ability to use, read and understand analytical instruments such PH meter, viscometer, and other instruments
  • Ability to maintain a reliable attendance record
  • Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles (walkie, tow lift, fork lift)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED is highly preferred

Responsibilities
