About The Position

Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength as a Painter on our weekend shift and help build high-quality strength and fitness equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role you'll help produce high-quality finished products by preparing, painting, inspecting, and handling components throughout the powder coating process. This full-time position offers a base wage of $20.70 to $24.60 (depending on experience) plus overtime eligibility after only 36 hours worked per week. Our Weekend Shift is designed to give you more time for life while rewarding your commitment. Requirements

  • Previous electrostatic powder coating paint experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed and work under schedule and time restrictions with limited supervision.
  • Lift up to 2 lbs constantly, 35 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs rarely.
  • Push/pull up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead, climb stairs and grasp tools as necessary.
  • Successfully complete a pulmonary function test and wear respirator as required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, mask, and stage parts for painting.
  • Operate paint booths, spray equipment, and related controls to apply high-quality powder coat finishes.
  • Inspect parts before and after painting to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Monitor paint quality and make adjustments as needed throughout production.
  • Perform routine cleaning, startup/shutdown, and preventive maintenance on paint line equipment.
  • Safely operate hoists and other material-handling equipment.
  • Report equipment issues, supply needs, and quality concerns to the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support other production activities as needed.
