About The Position

The Lead Person is a working leader who will perform tasks substantially similar (in terms of nature and level) as the employees under his/her leadership. In addition, the lead person is responsible for assisting the supervisor in carrying out certain aspects of the supervisor's responsibility. The Lead Person will oversee production employees in their respective departments on their corresponding shift. The Lead Person carries out the supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning tasks, directing work, ensuring safety, quality and productivity are priority.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of manufacturing & production experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and paint/powder coating process.
  • Ability to inspect and communicate defects effectively & use standard hand tools.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or trade school experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work orders for the paint line, general line, and silk screen operations run effectively to meet cycle time, production, and product quality requirements.
  • Monitor daily job performance and productivity standards, providing assistance and addressing employee needs as required.
  • Communicate changes in day-to-day responsibilities and provide regular, constructive performance feedback to employees.
  • Assemble scales and subassemblies to completion, applying the technical knowledge required for the role.
  • Perform calibration, testing, and quality inspections using various tools, visual inspection methods, and established procedures.
  • Monitor departmental quality performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality standards and procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality system requirements within areas of responsibility at all times.
  • Interpret routers, prints, and schematics, while maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout departmental work areas.
