About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing parts for coating, applying powder coatings according to established principles and practices, and operating all coating equipment. The technician will monitor equipment, bake parts at correct temperatures and times, and ensure efficient production that meets quality and on-time delivery goals. A key aspect of the role is maintaining quality standards and safety guidelines throughout the facility. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading parts and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent
Three years minimum experience and/or training in manufacturing techniques
Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment
Strong attention to detail
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently without daily supervision

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash, and pretreatments
Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting highly desirable

Responsibilities

Prepare parts for coating
Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems
Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company-established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance
Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility
Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment
Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures
Other duties, as assigned.
