About The Position

The Powder Coating Technician is responsible for preparing parts for coating, following all principles and practices of powder coating application, and operating all coating equipment. This role involves observing machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects, baking parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations, and ensuring efficient production and consistent quality. The technician must also ensure safety guidelines are met and load/unload parts onto fixtures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Three years minimum experience and/or training in manufacturing techniques
• Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision

Nice To Haves

• Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for coating
• Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
• Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company-established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance
• Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility
• Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment
• Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures
