About The Position

Purcell Tire And Service Centers is a leader in the industry, focusing on quality products and service, operational excellence, and people development. As a Powder Coating Technician, your mission is to refurbish commercial truck wheels through a series of manual and automated processes.

Requirements

• Ability to learn and perform the wheel refurbishing process
• Ability to inspect wheels for unsafe conditions
• Ability to prep, repair, and refinish wheels
• Ability to strip, steam clean or shot blast
• Ability to assess and repair as needed
• Ability to paint with special paint and color
• Ability to inspect wheels for proper completion
• Ability to maintain shop area clean and organized
• Ability to maintain tools and related tire accessories clean and organized
• Commitment to safety and performing all jobs in a safe manner
• Willingness to perform other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management
• Must pass a drug test, which includes testing for THC due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform the wheel refurbishing process
• Inspect wheels for unsafe conditions at all times and stages
• Prep, repair, and refinish wheels
• Strip, Steam clean or shot blast
• Assess and repair as needed
• Paint with special paint and color
• Inspect wheels for proper completion
• Maintain shop area clean and organized
• Maintain tools and related tire accessories clean and organized
