Requirements

  • High school level education or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
  • Strong background in Powder Coating a must.
  • Possesses high attention to detail while operating in a fast paced, high producing environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with little daily supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarization with Nordson systems a plus.
  • 3 years of experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follows standardized procedures, principles and practices of powder coating application.
  • Operates all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems.
  • Effectively performs all duties of a powder coating sprayer, including but not limited to surface preparation, powder coating application, curing, and inspection for acceptable finished product.
  • Ensures that all components are produced and coated efficiently and are consistent with company established quality and delivery goals.
  • Loads and unloads parts in a mainline or custom booth setting.
  • Working knowledge of the mechanics and basic repair of powder coating equipment.
  • Proper cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment, and 5S readiness of work area.
