About The Position

Trystar is seeking a Powder Coat Painter for its Fabrication team. The role prepares and paints products safely to support the manufacture of quality products in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Powder Coat Painter follows operating procedures, uses and maintains equipment, applies powder coat to customer specifications, and completes production documentation and quality checks.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in powder coating or painting.
• At least two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand plant directives written in English.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must frequently wear a respirator while painting.
• Ability to perform simple mathematics and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, and tally sheets, and to accurately track materials used, including scrap.
• Frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching are required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must comply with required PPE, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.

Nice To Haves

• Technical secondary education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand job orders and interact with Epicor.
• Read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures for safely operating equipment and manufacturing products.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork, including entering information into Epicor and preparing daily production reports, tally sheets, and scrap reports.
• Maintain and operate hand tools used to set up, disassemble, troubleshoot, and operate paint equipment.
• Powder coat parts according to customer specifications.
• Perform quality-control checks and inspections to verify products meet required specifications.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components for errors before powder coating.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
