About The Position

Perform the daily setup and operation of the powder coat machine and oven. Apply powder coat or wet paint according to standard work. Work safely and efficiently, follow required safety procedures and training, contribute to team and continuous-improvement efforts, and maintain a safe, clean workspace. The role also includes basic preventive maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Follow required safety procedures and use required personal protective and safety equipment.
• Follow standard-work documentation or proper training techniques.
• After training, be able to check MIL thickness and perform rub tests.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry racks to prepare them for powder coating or wet painting.
• Inspect workpiece finishes and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Clean and maintain powder-coating equipment.
• After training, check MIL thickness and perform rub tests; complete oven check sheets.
• Use required personal protective and safety equipment and follow applicable standard-work documentation or proper training techniques.
• Participate in and promote Continuous Improvement, 5S, and standard-work activities.
• Contribute to a team effort.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
• Ensure coated racks receive an identifier upon completion.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
