Poultry Vaccination Technician

This role plays a critical part in the overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds. Requirements
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple tasks
- Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs
- Bend and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc.
- Must be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment
Nice To Haves
- Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work with day-old chicks
- Collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations
- Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds
- Follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security policies and procedures
- Perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained
