About The Position

We are looking for responsible, qualified and experienced candidate for the post of Poultry Specialist II. This job will be Responsible and accountable for supervising all aspects of contract farms. Job Description: Supervising all aspects of contract farms Assist other Poultry Specialist’s as needed Basic understanding of Farm controllers and equipment Basic understanding of house construction and ventilation requirements Basic knowledge for production feeding Basic knowledge of rear Resolving contract grower conflicts Bio-security, strain security, animal welfare and health & safety are major responsibilities Assisting with placements, vaccinations, and disinfection May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor

Requirements

• BS in Poultry Science or related field (preferred)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to calculate feed, manage and weigh birds, prioritize work schedules, solve problems relating to growth, performance, etc
• Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends – on call 24 hours a day
• Must be self-motivated with ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Team oriented
• Current driver’s license
• 5 years of poultry experience preferred
• Basic understanding of Farm controllers and equipment
• Basic understanding of house construction and ventilation requirements
• Basic knowledge for production feeding
• Basic knowledge of rear

Nice To Haves

• BS in Poultry Science or related field
• 5 years of poultry experience
