Supervise, schedule and lead QA Technicians and team members, ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance. This role involves monitoring the plant floor for quality and food safety issues, communicating with USDA team members, and providing training for weekly QA meetings. The supervisor will also oversee sample submissions before packing, perform QA hold releases and transactions, and assist with WH transfers. A key part of the role includes helping with the implementation of programs and procedures, creating, maintaining, and verifying all production and quality paperwork, and ordering necessary supplies. The position also requires overseeing hold releases, communicating when product is out of specification with management and technicians, and assisting in the preparation and execution of customer, corporate, and third-party audits. Ensuring compliance with regulatory programs and performing document reviews for completion and accuracy are also essential duties.
