About The Position

This position is responsible for blood pulls, preparing test kits for shipment to lab, and sampling of poultry houses, movement of all Cobb products serviced by the Cobb Grandparent operation. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines. Will be trained to recognize and comply with all Safety procedures.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Applicants must be available for in person interview.
Must use safe lifting techniques.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds at times.
Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear; and drive a vehicle to and from the job sites.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals; ear plugs and ear muffs will be used as needed.
Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.

Previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.
