About The Position

Operates Pouch 1 & 2 and produces bubble pouches. Responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting equipment and processes. Ensures first offs are completed as per technical specifications and changeovers are completed as per standard. Establishes, follows, and improves equipment and set-up parameters. May involve coaching and mentoring assistants and helpers by providing clear and precise instructions. Ensures materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups. Ensures product is packed and identified as per specifications. Maintains accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies. Minimizes work-center downtime by ensuring proper equipment set-ups, material availability prior to changeover, and reporting raw material, tooling, or equipment issues to appropriate personnel. Oversees assistants, helpers, and packers, providing clear and precise instructions. Includes all duties outlined in the assistant job description and other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Intermediate math skills.
English written communication skills necessary.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
Ability to work in space-limited work areas on a continuous basis.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention.

Nice To Haves

2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / machine operator experience preferred.
Inventory experience preferred.
