About The Position

As a Pouch Operator, you play a crucial role in our production process by overseeing the filling, processing, cleaning, and lubricating of equipment in the pouch and processing areas. Requirements

  • Available to work 2nd shift hours
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Forklift License (provided by employer).
  • Technical knowledge of pouch filling and processing equipment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to recognize and address sub-standard issues.
  • Leadership skills to guide and train peers.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Operate machinery and tools requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels in a production environment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection

Responsibilities

  • Learn and operate filling equipment while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Take weight measurements and make necessary adjustments to the filling operation.
  • Report machine difficulties to maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Keep Supervisors informed and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Assist in training peers and/or Canner operators.
  • Accurately complete all process paperwork and seal integrity testing documentation.
  • Understand the mechanics of seal integrity and the sterility processes related to the UHT system and Fresco filler.
  • Follow the procedure for metal detection on the pouch line.
  • Thoroughly lubricate and clean the Fresco machine.
  • Handle product changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns.
  • Coordinate with the oncoming shift regarding any problems, issues, or concerns.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work more than eight hours per day and more than 40 hours per week as necessary.
  • Work alternating shift hours as required.
  • Follow plant rules and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to quality system requirements.
  • Meet food safety, quality, and customer requirements for the position.
