About The Position

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA - Level 3 with 8-12 years of experience to join our team in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a 24/7 environment. A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory, and only US Citizens with a valid passport will be considered.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
• Expert hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in large-scale, mission-critical production environments.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL backup, restore, and recovery strategies.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures.
• Advanced performance tuning skills (query optimization, indexing, vacuum/analyze, locking, capacity planning).
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL security features (role-based access, auditing, encryption, vulnerability remediation).
• Proven experience operating in a 24x7, SLA-driven managed services environment.
• Hands-on ownership of Sev-1 / Sev-2 incidents, problem management, RCA creation, and CAP execution.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management).
• Experience supporting regulated enterprise environments, including audits and compliance evidence generation.
• Ability to identify and drive automation opportunities using approved scripting and workflow tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• Must be a US Citizen with a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in large-scale, mission-critical production environments.
• Implement and manage strong expertise in PostgreSQL backup, restore, and recovery strategies.
• Ensure deep understanding and execution of PostgreSQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures within L2/L3 operations.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, vacuum/analyze tuning, locking analysis, and capacity planning.
• Manage and implement PostgreSQL security features, including role-based access, auditing, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
• Operate effectively in a 24x7, SLA-driven managed services environment.
• Take hands-on ownership of Sev-1 / Sev-2 incidents, problem management, RCA creation, and CAP execution.
• Apply solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management).
