The Sharan Lab is seeking an enthusiastic postdoctoral scholar to study host-pathogen interactions in TB/HIV co-infection. The lab investigates how HIV reactivates latent TB infection using small and large animal models in BSL3, applying immunology, pathology, and single-cell RNA sequencing for mechanistic studies. The postdoctoral scientist will help conduct nonhuman primate and mouse experiments focused on host-directed therapy in TB/HIV co-infection. The scientist designs studies with a supervisor, conducts research with other team members, analyzes data, and reports results to the supervisor in real time. The role also contributes to publication and grant preparation and participation in relevant seminars and scientific meetings. This is a highly collaborative role requiring work in a BSL3 laboratory and experience with animal models.
