The Sharan Lab is hiring a postdoctoral scholar to study host-pathogen interactions in TB/HIV co-infection. The lab investigates how HIV reactivates latent TB infection using small and large animal models in BSL3 settings, applying immunology, pathology, and single-cell RNA sequencing techniques. The postdoctoral scientist will help conduct nonhuman primate and mouse experiments studying host-directed therapy in TB/HIV co-infection. The role involves designing studies with a supervisor and conducting collaborative scientific research. The scientist will carry out BSL3 animal-model experiments, analyze and report data, help prepare publications and grant applications, and participate in relevant seminars and scientific meetings.
