About The Position
The Srinivasan Laboratory at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is recruiting a motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to study the development and disease mechanisms of lymphatic vessels and cardiovascular valves. Our research addresses diseases including lymphedema, aortic stenosis, mitral valve prolapse, venous valve dysfunction, thrombosis, and inflammatory disorders. We use multidisciplinary approaches including genetically engineered mouse models, advanced imaging, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, and bioinformatics. Successful candidates will have opportunities to develop independent research directions, learn new experimental and computational approaches, present their work at scientific meetings, and contribute to high-impact publications.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a biological science, M.D., or equivalent (or expected to receive degree soon)
- Familiarity with standard lab techniques
- Strong motivation to publish research papers
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate and write summaries of result
- Professionalism while interacting with a diverse group of people, personalities, and cultures
