Join Dr. Hsin-Jung Yang and their research group as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Biomedical Imaging Research Institute (BIRI). BIRI is an interdisciplinary research program focused on developing and applying advanced imaging technologies to address critical translational research and clinical questions. The team collaborates with physicians and researchers globally, combining technical and clinical expertise in cardiology, neurology, and oncology, with a strong emphasis on educating future imaging leaders. The Yang Lab specifically focuses on creating innovative imaging solutions for cardiac pathological activities and non-invasive detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. They have pioneered cardiac fMRI (cfMRI), a needleless method for detecting myocardial ischemia using oxygenation-sensitive MRI signals and controlled coronary artery stimulations. This technique avoids ionizing radiation, exogenous contrast agents, and pharmacological stress agents, offering a low-risk solution for millions of patients with potential myocardial ischemic diseases. The Postdoctoral Scientist will work independently, in close consultation with Dr. Yang and other scientists, performing routine and complex laboratory procedures.
