The Inflammation Biology group is seeking a passionate and driven postdoctoral scientist to pursue innovative research at the forefront of chronic fibrotic liver disease. This role offers a unique opportunity to explore the complex biology of conditions such as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). The successful candidate will spearhead an independent research project focused on uncovering novel pathogenic mechanisms and identifying therapeutic targets in chronic fibrotic diseases. This work is expected to yield impactful insights into the pathogenesis of human disease and high-impact publications in leading scientific journals. This is a three-year postdoctoral training position at Gilead. The role is embedded in a highly collaborative and resource-rich environment, offering access to world-class facilities and cross-functional expertise across Gilead’s research ecosystem.
