The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is hiring a Postdoctoral Scholar for the Brain Stimulation Division. This position is part of a laboratory focused on multimodal characterization (e.g., EEG, fMRI, autonomic physiology) and modulation (e.g., brain stimulation, CBT) of transdiagnostic dysregulation of emotion and cognition. The primary responsibilities involve an ongoing trial of accelerated, closed-loop EEG-rTMS paired with accelerated CBT for depression and suicide risk. The role includes administering accelerated CBT, structured diagnostic interviewing, and neuromodulation sessions using EEG and TMS. Data analysis for cognition and emotion processing tasks, including quality control, preprocessing, analysis, and manuscript preparation, is also expected. The individual will have opportunities to assist with other studies focused on improving cognition and emotion regulation in healthy participants and patients with neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. The position also offers career development mentoring and support for career development award submissions.
