About The Position

The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge research at the intersection of vehicle dynamics, control theory, and AI-enabled autonomy, with a focus on real-world deployment in complex, unstructured environments (e.g., off-road vehicle systems). This position emphasizes both fundamental research and system-level implementation, including integration with hardware platforms and field validation.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in: Control theory (e.g., robust control, adaptive control, LPV systems)
  • State estimation and observer design
  • Dynamical systems and motion control
  • Experience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and real-time control systems
  • Demonstrated publication record in relevant areas

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced methods in robust and adaptive control, state estimation, and motion planning
  • Design and implement control and perception algorithms for autonomous robotic systems
  • Conduct real-time experiments and field deployments
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team spanning robotics, AI, and mechanical systems
  • Publish research findings in top-tier journals and conferences
