The Men’s Health Research (MHR) program in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver campus invites applications from highly qualified and motivated candidates for a part-time (0.5 FTE) Postdoctoral Fellow position. Founded in 2003, the MHR program is led by Dr. John Oliffe, Professor and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Men’s Health Promotion at UBC School of Nursing. The MHR program conducts gendered analyses, and designs, implements and evaluates gender-responsive men’s suicide prevention and mental health promotion programs across 3 interconnected themes: addressing men’s mental health inequities; guiding the practices of men to seek, and practitioners who provide, mental health care; and assisting men to build equitable intimate partner relationships and social connections. We seek applicants with a strong track record in research coordination and academic publication, and a deep commitment to pursuing an academic career in interdisciplinary and collaborative men’s mental health research.
