The Ikegami lab at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is recruiting highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to investigate nuclear and chromatin organization and dynamics in development, homeostasis, and disease. Ongoing projects focus on defining the mechanisms and functional consequences of nuclear mechanosensing, nuclear envelope damage and repair, and nuclear lamina–chromatin interactions in developmental and degenerative contexts. Applicants interested in extending these research areas to development, disease, and aging in cardiovascular, muscular, and nervous systems are encouraged to apply. The lab employs a multidisciplinary approach that integrates functional genomics, quantitative cell biology, mathematical modeling, mouse genetics and disease models, and bioinformatics. Prior experience in quantitative biology, functional genomics, or cardiovascular biology is beneficial but not required. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center provides a strong research environment with investigators focused on mechanisms of organismal development and disease. This position offers extensive opportunities for collaboration within and beyond the institution.
