A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Yongqiang (Yong) Feng’s laboratory in the Department of Immunology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The laboratory investigates molecular and cellular mechanisms governing T-cell fate, immune tolerance, and disease-associated immune responses, with a focus on gene-regulatory networks and Foxp3-dependent programs that establish, maintain, or destabilize regulatory T-cell identity and function. The successful candidate will investigate how regulatory T cells regulate autoimmune inflammation, tissue stress responses, age-associated immune dysregulation, and anti-tumor immunity. The candidate will also participate in developing synthetic and engineering-based approaches to precisely control and reprogram T-cell function for basic and translational investigation. Projects are supported by multiple NIH grants and span fundamental and translational immunology. The laboratory uses mouse genetics, human T-cell biology, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, functional immunology, genomics, and synthetic immunology. The position offers opportunities to study fundamental questions in T-cell biology and develop expertise across multiple disciplines. St. Jude provides institutional support, state-of-the-art core facilities, and a collaborative scientific environment. Trainees can gain experience in gene regulation, immune-cell function, disease pathogenesis, cancer immunology, systems biology, and synthetic approaches to immune engineering. Applicants should be highly motivated recent Ph.D. graduates, or have equivalent research experience, in a relevant field. To apply, submit a cover letter describing research interests and career goals, a CV, and contact information for three references or three letters of recommendation. Applications and inquiries should be sent to [email protected].
