Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows to join the Sevenler research group for a translational biomedical research project. This project involves developing a microfluidic technology for loading molecules and nanoparticles into red blood cells ex vivo, aiming to utilize red blood cells as a biocompatible drug depot for extended release. The role will be part of a highly interdisciplinary team collaborating across CMU's College of Engineering, Robotics Institute, and the University of Pittsburgh Trauma & Transfusion Medicine Research Center. The initial contract is for one year, renewable for up to five additional years based on performance and funding availability. A flexible start date is available, with a preference for June 2026.
