The Cupido Lab at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a motivated, biology-inclined synthetic chemist to advance RNA proximity-induced pharmacology. The role focuses on discovering, designing, and developing small-molecule modulators using novel screening and compound-optimization platforms, with emphasis on pathways and biological mechanisms that regulate RNA biology and gene expression in cancer and have not yet been drugged. The project is based in the Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics and builds on St. Jude’s infrastructure for high-throughput chemical discovery and synthesis. The position offers access to staffed facilities and a collaborative research environment, with opportunities to develop expertise across chemical biology, structural, cellular and molecular biology, proteomics, and drug discovery, as well as to grow through publication, grant writing, collaboration, and career development.
