Postdoctoral Research Associate
About The Position
The Sun Lab in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a motivated postdoctoral research associate with a background in chemistry, nanomedicine, gene/drug delivery, or cancer therapy. The lab is dedicated to designing and developing nanocarriers for the effective delivery of small molecule drugs and/or therapeutic genes (such as siRNA, plasmids, mRNA) for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. They also focus on developing new strategies to overcome major clinical translation barriers in nanomedicine and exploring potential mechanisms using bioinformatics and molecular biology methods. The candidate will be responsible for using chemical tools to develop new nanocarriers with low toxicity and high delivery efficacy, and to address challenges in cancer treatment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- Expertise in chemical synthesis, formulation preparation, molecular biology, or animal studies is highly demanded.
