About The Position

The Yang laboratory at the Center of Excellence for Structural Cell Biology at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Ph.D. level). The group specializes in in situ cryo-ET and development of correaltive tools and workflows. We seek a highly motivated individual interested in studying cell-cell interactions while developing novel tools for integrative/correlative cryo-ET.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry/chemistry, structural biology or related discipline
• High level of self-motivation and organization
• Strong problem-solving skills and motivation to learn new techniques
• Ability of thrive in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment with a respectful and supportive approach
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in gene editing
• Previous experience in transfection/reverse transcription
• Previous experience in cloning
• Previous experience in microscopy imaging
• Basic programming skills/command operations
