About The Position

This postdoctoral fellowship is part of the UnborderED Knowledge Research Project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). The project aims to widen, deepen, and institutionalize access to higher education, research, and training opportunities for students and researchers with lived experiences of forced migration. This specific position will focus on studying the WUSC Student Refugee Program (SRP), one of the longest-standing initiatives for refugee students in Canada, to understand its impact on institutionalizing equitable access and outcomes for displaced students. The fellow will identify how the SRP has contributed to institutionalization and inclusive practices at participating postsecondary institutions through desk reviews and interviews. The research will explore related questions concerning institutional supports, EDI policies, administrative opportunities, and impacts on student bodies and faculties.
