About The Position

Genentech is seeking an independent and motivated researcher for a postdoctoral fellowship in Aviv Regev’s lab. The fellow will develop and apply algorithms to analyze single-cell genomics profiles, spatial data, and perturbation screens with high-content molecular and imaging data, with the goal of understanding cellular and multicellular combinatorial programs in cells and tissues in health and disease. The fellow will join a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary group and conduct independent research projects, leveraging collaborations within the group and across Research & Development. The role calls for a researcher who is excited about biology and human disease and interested in developing and applying computational algorithms to decipher them.

Requirements

PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field.
At least one first-author or co-first-author key paper in a top journal or key conference, such as in computer science.
Technically rigorous, bold, and creative.
Enthusiasm for biology, human disease, and developing and applying computational algorithms.
Ability and interest in working closely and collaboratively to solve complex biological problems.
Ability to lucidly present complex results verbally and in writing to experts from different fields.

Responsibilities
