About The Position

Genentech is seeking an independent and motivated researcher for a postdoctoral fellowship in Aviv Regev’s lab. The fellow will develop and apply algorithms to analyze single-cell genomics profiles, spatial data, and perturbation screens with high-content molecular and imaging data. The research aims to understand cellular and multicellular combinatorial programs in cells and tissues in health and disease. The fellow will join a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary group and conduct independent research projects while leveraging collaborations within the group and across Research & Development. The role calls for rigorous, creative computational research in biology and medicine, as well as clear communication with experts across disciplines.

Requirements

PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field.
Demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments, evidenced by at least one first-author or co-first-author key paper in a top journal or a key conference, such as in computer science.
Technically rigorous, bold, and creative.
Interest in biology and human disease and in developing and applying computational algorithms to understand them.
Enjoys working closely and collaboratively to solve complex biological problems.
Able to clearly present complex results verbally and in writing to experts from different fields.

Responsibilities
