About The Position

The Postdoctoral Fellow conducts, reports, and presents research in their field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position and is not expected to be permanent. The fellow assists principal investigators with ongoing investigator- and industry-initiated research projects, including executing clinical-trial protocols and assisting with the collection and analysis of clinical data for quality-improvement and database research projects.

Requirements

• Ph.D., M.D., or doctoral equivalent in any field.
• Scientific research experience.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with data-handling regulations for medical and research data, such as HIPAA and IRB requirements.
• Experience with data management, such as REDCap.
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit clinical research subjects, collect data, and monitor enrollment goals.
• Assist the PI with creating research presentations and manuscripts.
• Assist with grant and protocol preparation and submissions to IRB, OCR, or OSP under the PI's direction.
• Document and maintain IRB approval.
• Assist with creating and maintaining clinical and research databases in conjunction with the database manager.
• Assist with collection, documentation, and storage of clinical and research data.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to research protocols, including sample collection and shipment.
• Conduct, report, and present research under the supervision of a faculty mentor.
