About The Position

The Center for Inter-American Policy and Research (CIPR) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for a one or two-year residential, full-time appointment starting in July 2027. Fellows will receive an annual stipend of $60,000 plus benefits. Travel and moving expenses are not supported. In addition to their planned research, fellows will undertake either program administration or adjunct teaching responsibilities. The program administration track involves working with CIPR's director on ongoing research initiatives such as the Central American Politics Consortium and/or Research Group MEGA: Mobilization, Extractivism, and Government Action, or developing programmatic content and projects in Inter-American relations, comparative political economy, citizenship rights, human development, and others. The adjunct teaching track involves teaching one course per semester in the fellow's primary discipline and major subfields, without administrative responsibilities. Specific responsibilities will be determined jointly at the beginning of the appointment.

Requirements

• Plan to complete their Ph.D. no later than May 2027.
• Recent graduates with no longer than three years since receiving their Ph.D. are especially encouraged to apply.
