The Parsa Lab (Immune Cell Dynamics and Function group) at Biohub New York is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow or Scientist I to investigate how T cells interact with local tissue environments and how these interactions shape immune responses in health and disease. The research focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms governing T cell differentiation, function, and adaptation across tissues, particularly how immune cells and their surrounding microenvironments shape responses in inflammatory settings. The long-term goal is to develop strategies for reprogramming immune cells in disease- and tissue-specific ways for therapeutic benefit. The successful candidate will develop innovative research projects to understand how immune cells interact with tissue microenvironments and establish persistent cellular networks that shape tissue homeostasis, function, and responses to subsequent challenges. Research combines experimental immunology with genetically engineered mouse models, single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, genetic perturbation, and machine learning or artificial intelligence. The role is part of a collaborative environment spanning immunology, genomics, computational biology, and technology development. The lab seeks a creative and independent scientist with a strong experimental biology, genetic engineering, bioengineering, or functional genomics background and interest in scalable in vivo approaches to complex biological systems. The position offers opportunities to develop experimental technologies, contribute to multidisciplinary research, and establish an independent scientific direction.
