A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for a highly motivated and independent candidate to join the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Ng in the Department of Cell Therapy and co-mentored by Dr. Hye-Jung Kim in the Department of Immunology Discovery at Genentech. The Ng Laboratory is dedicated to the development of synthetic biology and genome engineering technologies. We collaborate with the Kim Laboratory to study and develop treatments for immune disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease and multiple sclerosis. Together we utilize state-of-the-art in vitro and in vivo techniques spanning machine learning, in vivo quantitative imaging, and single-cell multi-omics. The Opportunity: To innovate at the cutting edge of synthetic biology to push the boundaries of cell therapy. To employ state-of-the-art technologies exploring fundamental immunology. To collaborate with other researchers across the organization to accelerate research progress and foster interdisciplinary knowledge.
