About The Position

One NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Lu Huang in the Department of Virology, Immunology and Microbiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. The Huang laboratory focuses on innate immune responses during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, with a particular focus on the immunometabolism of innate immune cells, including macrophages and neutrophils. The lab employs multidisciplinary approaches including immunology, microbiology, cell biology, metabolism, and genomics to address fundamental questions in host–pathogen interactions and innate immune responses in the lung.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience in immunology, microbiology, cell biology, metabolism, or genomics.
  • Strong research skills and a track record of scientific inquiry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection models.
  • Experience with immunometabolism research.
  • Experience with genomic analysis.
