Postdoctoral Associate - GaMBiT Initiative

Broad Institute•Cambridge, MA
•Onsite

About The Position

The Klarman Fellowship is a postdoctoral research program within the GaMBiT Initiative at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between genetic discoveries and therapeutic interventions by systematizing and scaling experiments that identify disease mechanisms, biomarkers, and actionable therapeutic approaches, while developing computational frameworks that connect human genetics data with experimental findings. Postdoctoral associates will work on research germane to developing and applying novel technologies that convert disease-associated genetic variants into precise causal mechanisms, measurable biomarkers, and therapeutic leads. Both computational and experimental fellows are sought across areas including statistical and computational genetics, cellular and organismal biology, immunology, metabolomics, proteomics, protein structure, and chemistry. Associates will be based at the Broad Institute and work with a mentor or co-mentors from Broad-, MIT-, or Harvard-affiliated faculty. The appointment is for one year, beginning on or after January 1, 2027, or on another mutually agreed date, with the possibility of renewal for a second year based on satisfactory performance. Completed application review begins on a rolling basis after September 30, 2026. Visa sponsorship is available.
