Postdoctoral Associate

Stony Brook University•Town of Brookhaven, NY

About The Position

The Postdoctoral Associate reports to Dr. Yubin Miao, Principal Investigator in the Department of Radiology, and develops radiolabeled peptides for cancer imaging and therapy. The role evaluates novel receptor-targeting peptides with postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, and graduate students. Research includes synthesis, characterization, and in vitro and in vivo evaluation of peptide radiopharmaceuticals for SPECT/PET/CT imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy. The selected candidate will study peptide biodistribution, imaging properties, and therapeutic efficacy to identify theranostic peptides for potential clinical translation. The position also involves conducting experiments, recording and analyzing results, summarizing findings for grant reports, and preparing manuscripts. The incumbent may guide graduate and undergraduate students and is responsible for routine laboratory and equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, and ensuring experiments follow Stony Brook University policies and procedures.
