About The Position
The Patel Laboratory at the Duke University School of Medicine has an opening for a Postdoctoral Associate in Lung Transplant Immunology and Senescence. This role involves researching the mechanisms of, and interventions for, immuno-senescence and aging in lung transplantation. The research will utilize high-throughput multi-‘omic approaches, primary cell culture systems, and animal models of transplantation. The lab is a training environment focused on recruiting individuals who are passionate about science and dedicated to achieving their goals. Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. Sc.D., M.D., D.V.M.)

Responsibilities
- Maintenance of a laboratory notebook and/or other comparable records of research activity, which remains the property of Duke University upon termination.
- Monitor progress of research projects and coordinate with Principal Investigator and Program team to stay on budget and schedule to meet the milestones and deliverables.
- Follow standards of responsible conduct in research.
- Comply with good scholarly and research practice.
- Adhere to University standards regarding use of isotopes, chemicals, infectious agents, animals, human subjects, and the like.
- Comply with all applicable University and Department of Surgery policies and procedures.
- Independently perform daily activities.
