About The Position

Under the direction of the Lead Postal Clerk the Postal Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service to postal customers for Nellis Air Force Base.   • High School Diploma, equivalent.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License with a clean annual DMV report and must be twenty-one (21) years of age to be eligible to drive company vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year verifiable work experience in a postal/mailroom.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mail and packages to the dormitory and military units.
  • Utilize automated systems to label and forward mail.
  • Enter all packages into computer system for tracking.
  • Greet postal customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Retrieve mail for postal customers.
  • Assist customers with transfer slips.
  • Ensure and maintain a clean and safe department.
  • Maintain weekly and quarterly checklist for Postal delivery van and ensure the van is clean.
  • Ability to obtain U.S Government Security Clearance of Secret within 30 days of employment.
  • Manage and maintain the highest level of accuracy of mailroom functions (i.e. sorting and distribution of official mail, and postal meter procedures).
  • Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
  • May be assigned other duties as needed
