About The Position

The Visual Inspection Technician performs 100% visual inspection of batches produced for commercial release. Inspection may include samples and IV bags, syringes, vials, and droptainers. The technician ensures work is performed safely and compliantly while supporting post-production quality and operational performance goals. The position involves preparing and staging products and the inspection area, visually counting medications, inspecting product units before labeling, documenting defects and rejection rates, and completing pre- and post-line-clearance operations and other post-production documentation. Work may take place in warehouse, fulfillment, production, and temperature-controlled areas. The role requires prolonged standing and walking, may involve other physical activities and moving materials, and includes reading small print. Exposure to chemical odors, cleaning agents, fumes, and moderate to high noise levels may occur.

Requirements

No prior formal training is required.
Manual hand-eye coordination to identify and remove defective units.
Ability to pass a vision test.
English communication skills to read and maintain routine written logs and records and interact with trainers, leads, and supervisors.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep training and compliance for job tasks up to date and accurate.
Perform visual counts of medications to be inspected.
Visually inspect product units before labeling across various product presentations.
Document identified defects, calculate rejection rates, and perform pre- and post-line-clearance operations.
Prepare and stage products for visual inspection.
Clean and prepare the visual inspection area for use.
Complete forms and documentation in all post-production areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
