Post Production Technician - Weekend Day Shift
About The Position
As a Post Production Technician, you prepare and finish manufactured parts to meet customer and quality specifications. The role includes tumbling, deburring, surface finishing, hardware installation, quality inspections, and supporting efficient department workflow. You work with team leads and supervisors to meet production goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. You learn and perform tasks according to departmental needs, including finishing parts, installing hardware, interpreting work instructions, and using tools and inspection equipment. The position is on the production floor and is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic drawings.
- Ability to safely operate machinery and equipment in accordance with work instructions and safety procedures.
- Ability to use measuring devices and basic hand tools.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts.
- Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of CNC systems and machine controls.
- Basic understanding of quality requirements and inspection processes.
- Prior work in a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Deburr, tumble, and finish parts.
- Tap, countersink, and install hardware.
- Interpret work instructions and use hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment.
- Perform quality checks to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Move materials and job orders throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with LEAN and 5S principles.
- Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet daily production goals and communicate issues or quality concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
