About The Position

This posting is an expression of interest for a Post-Production Producer role at Rodeo FX. While not an active position at this time, Rodeo FX is seeking talented candidates for future opportunities and is open to various collaboration types, including permanent, temporary, and freelance contracts. The Post-Production Producer, under the supervision of the Executive Producer in Los Angeles, will be responsible for producing all advertising projects for the Los Angeles ADS team. This includes being present for client sessions, quoting on potential VFX opportunities in collaboration with the Executive Producer and other team members, and ensuring the proper management of budgets and post-production schedules for assigned projects. Rodeo FX is a high-end creative company known for its visual effects, advertising, animation, and experiential services, with a strong emphasis on creativity, storytelling, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position, in post-production in the advertising sector.
  • Relevant experience in visual effects and knowledge of the VFX process required.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership and strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Good ability to manage stress under pressure and maintain a positive and composed attitude.
  • Excellent sense of priorities and respect for deadlines and budgets.
  • Must be available for occasional travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Shotgrid project management software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of GSuite and Monday is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the bidding process for all advertising opportunities in collaboration with the global ADS team.
  • Produce advertising projects for Los Angeles, establish timelines, and manage the VFX/post-production schedule.
  • Handle crew planning tasks, including sketching bookings for potential projects, adding bookings for confirmed projects, and participating in weekly resource meetings for ADS.
  • Help set up workflow and processes for grading and online sessions.
  • Assign key talent to projects and organize kick-off meetings with HOD and the crew planning team in collaboration with various departments.
  • Ensure projects are running smoothly by verifying tasks are created and assigned, and that artists' estimates and timelogs are properly entered.
  • Work closely with a coordinator when needed.
  • Communicate regularly with clients on project status and foster a positive, collaborative working relationship.
  • Oversee project progress and efficiency, ensure full tracking of schedules and budgets, and maintain up-to-date Shotgrid information.
  • Anticipate potential time and budget issues, as well as client-requested changes, and adjust quotes and schedules accordingly.
  • Maintain regular communication with the production team on all important project information.
  • Collaborate on post-mortem meetings, identify areas for improvement, and ensure all issues are addressed.
  • Support business development initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Producer.
  • Actively monitor the work climate within the team and take steps to encourage a positive work environment and adherence to company values.
  • Produce Film & Episodic VFX projects when needed.
  • Perform all other tasks related to the position.
