The Cannabis Post-Harvest Technician is crucial in upholding product integrity, ensuring adherence to regulatory mandates, and maintaining the superior quality of cannabis flower and related products. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) or more years of experience within an agricultural setting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance within a comparable regulated field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of best practices and quality standards for post-harvest handling, including drying and curing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment for prolonged periods.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to consistently execute repetitive tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency: familiarity with inventory tracking software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Buck cannabis flower with precision, carefully separating harvested materials from the main stem after harvest.
  • Hang and dry harvested plants at each harvest, ensuring optimal airflow and conditions within designated drying areas.
  • Execute precise hand and/or machine trimming of cannabis plants for optimal product presentation.
  • Perform precise handling and preparation of harvested materials to achieve a high-quality final product.
  • Ensure environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) within drying rooms are monitored to facilitate optimal drying and curing processes.
  • Implement established curing protocols to preserve the desired characteristics of the harvested material.
  • Maintain rigorous inventory control and comprehensive documentation through designated tracking systems.
  • Execute thorough sanitization of all tools, equipment, and workspaces to prevent contamination and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and promptly report any product inconsistencies or quality control concerns to supervisory personnel.
  • Strictly adhering to all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and relevant regulations.
  • Provide support to other cultivation or facility operations as required.
