About The Position

This is an overnight position that will require the selected candidate to work events and post events as needed, including weekends and holidays. The ABM Onsite Post Operations Manager for the Sports & Entertainment Vertical Market is responsible for the operational and financial success of their project. This role involves leading a diverse team, engaging in regular client interaction, ensuring quality services are provided in alignment with contractual agreements and budgetary requirements, achieving operational and financial goals, planning and directing activities to promote project profitability, and meeting financial objectives by controlling expenses, retaining current customers, and expanding billable services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • At least 3 years of experience managing employees.
  • Experience effectively managing teams: solid staff retention, counseling and developing team members, etc.
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record is required to operate company vehicles to and from customer work sites.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to give effective presentations to small and large groups.
  • Resourceful team player with a positive outlook and approachable demeanor.
  • A passion for serving others and helping others to succeed.
  • Excellent personal organization skills.
  • Excellent follow-up and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assess contract requirements and develop work plans to provide services in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Utilize knowledge of labor agreements to ensure contract provisions are met.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, meeting with them to conduct inspections, discuss special needs or changes in service, and plan for future customer needs.
  • Provide customers with information regarding additional services available at ABM.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and discuss and resolve pending complaints/feedback.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure services meet service contract requirements and to promote customer retention.
  • Inform management and leadership of work status, identify potential issues, and recommend appropriate action.
  • Participate with other ABM management in regular meetings and calls to review project-specific issues and develop recommendations.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, independently planning activities to meet objectives.
  • Keep leadership informed of business issues impacting project effectiveness and promptly escalate serious issues to management.
  • Ensure customer retention, enhance service delivery, and sell services through excellent customer service skills.
  • Work closely with frontline personnel to meet customer requirements.
  • Determine training requirements and identify sources to meet training and development needs.
  • Recommend staffing levels.
  • Work with management and HR to hire, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Understand applicable union contracts and develop effective working relationships with local labor unions.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with customers and be the face of ABM for the customer.
  • Understand customer requirements and offer ABM services to meet their needs.
  • Increase billable services provided by ABM and add value to the customer by providing additional or periodic services (TAG work).
  • Manage inventory control to ensure labor and supplies are within budget.
  • Report accidents and property damage accurately and in a timely manner.
