About The Position

The RESPOND Lab at MGH is seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in biostatistics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field for a two-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. This position involves applying established methods from network science to pediatric health access and outcome data. Working with a multi-disciplinary team of health services researchers, including experts in pediatric emergency medicine and network science, the successful candidate will apply techniques from network science to pediatric emergency care data, and develop expertise in project administration and applications of advanced analytic methods to health services.

Requirements

Doctoral degree (PhD) in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field
Strong computational skills and expertise in R is required
Data science or health services research and electronic data management systems
MS Office products
Statistical software (R)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals

Nice To Haves

Experience in Python and network science are desired but is not required

Responsibilities

Performing independent analytic tasks
Designing and implements modifications of research protocols
Troubleshooting problems and instructing colleagues in statistical and network science techniques
Synthesizing and interprets results
Performing advanced analysis using various software programs and statistical techniques
Maintaining organized and detailed records
Presentation of results at lab meetings and national conferences
Preparation and submission of research manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals
Assisting with preparation of grant applications
Other duties as assigned
