The Pergam Group is seeking a temporary (3-6 months), full-time Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work and support research projects focus on infections in the immunocompromised host.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in the field of Epidemiology and experience in a related area.
  • Experience working in infectious disease in cancer patients, with a focus on longitudinal data analyses and large datasets.
  • The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to work independently in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, writing, communication (in English), and problem-solving skills are needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Those with PhD experience with in studies involving hematopoietic cell transplantation are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on infections in the cancer setting, including studies on viral, bacterial and fungal infections.
  • Collaborate with VIDD Infectious Diseases physicians, immunologists, oncologists, clinical investigators and laboratory-based staff.
